報告摘要:
Two new capacitors under developing in our laboratory will be introduced. We have found that some lead-free relaxors showed anomalous high breakdown strength at high temperatures. The intrinsic breakdown is caused by the interaction between electrons and phonons. The dipole fluctuation in polar nano-region of relaxors coupling with phonons to increase the energy transfer of a phonon mode may be the reason of the high breakdown strength of the relaxors. The other capacitor is solid state ionic capacitor for energy storage devises. The reduction of carbon dioxide emission is the key technology for preventing global warming or abnormal whether. We are expecting energy storage capacitor will contribute for this purpose.

Takaaki Tsurumi was born on October 6, 1957. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 1982 and 1985, respectively. He became an Associate Professor with the Department of Inorganic Materials, Tokyo Institute of Technology, in 1989, and a Full Professor in 1999. He has been on the steering committee of the Ceramics Society of Japan since 2003. He has been a senior member and the chair of the Ferroelectric Committee of IEEEUFFC since 2009, and is also the chair of the Asian Ferroelectric Association from 2010 to 2012. His research interests are structure-property relationships of oxide dielectrics, dielectric and piezoelectric ceramics, and oxide superlattices. He has published more than 500 papers in scientific journals.
