報告摘要:
Over the past few years metal halide perovskite based solar cells have undergone a meteoric rise in cell efficiency to > 23% for small-area devices and 28% for silicon/perovskite monolithic tandem cells. Increasing importance of improving solar cell operation is reliant upon understanding and controlling thin-film crystallisation as well as tailoring heterojunctions/interfaces between the perovskite with the p and n-type charge extraction layers. In addition, in-depth understanding and enhancing long term stability of the materials and devices are commercial deployment of this technology. In this talk, I will highlight the key factors which are important for reaching the maximum efficiencies and long-term operational stability, and also areas where we know require further improvement. I will specifically highlight recent advances in understanding the enhancement of long term stability through appropriate choice and adaptation of charge selective interlayers, doping and trap passivation. I will also highlight the importance of tailoring the perovskite composition; especially introduce the creation of stable 2D-3D heterostructures within a perovskite film, for device stability improvement. Beyond conventional flat plate deployment, I will introduce hybrid perovskite based concentrator-type solar cells and experimentally proved efficiency gains and operational stability at high irradiances.

報告人簡介:
Dr. Wang is a senior postdoctoral researcher in the Photovoltaic and Optoelectronic Device Group led by Prof Henry Snaith (FRS) at Department of Physics, University of Oxford. His current research focuses on the development of highly efficient and stable metal-halide perovskite materials, understanding degradation processes, and implementing novel device architectures for next-generation of low-cost photovoltaic (PV) devices. During the past three years, Dr. Wang has published 28 peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals including Science (twice), Nature Energy (twice), Advanced Materials (4 times), Journal of American Chemistry Society (twice), Energy Environmental Science (twice).
