國際光電子與激光工程學會(IAPLE)現任主席(2015-2017)、會士,美國激光學會(LIA)現任秘書和執行董事會成員、會士,《Journal of Laser Applications》資深編輯,Light:Science & Applications (英國自然出版集團)編委,《中國激光》執行主編,《金屬熱處理》編委,《紅外與激光工程》編委。

長期從事激光材料加工學術研究,研究方向包括激光微納制造、激光表面工程技術、激光快速制造和新材料制備。承擔與完成19項國際合作項目,包括英國皇家工程院、中德科學中心以及美、英、德、法、日知名企業的國際合作項目;承擔或完成973、國家自然基金重大國際合作項目、重點項目、面上項目及企業合作項目等40餘項,多項研究成果在企業成功應用。發表論文300餘篇,專著3本,授權申請專利20餘項。

長期活躍于國際激光加工學術領域,多次擔任國際會議共主席/共主席,在本領域重要國際國内會議上多次做大會報告和邀請報告。
